The Study Of The Change Of Central Collective Discussion In Western Han Dynasty

The central collective discussion,which appeared in matrilineal commune period of the primitive society,has experienced from the constant improvement in Hsia,Shang Dynasty,Western Zhou and the Spring and Autumn and the Warring States Periods,moved to its maturity in the Qin and Han Dynasties.As a basic form of the central decision-making in the ancient Chinese despotism centralization system,the collective discussion has influenced the political lives of all the previous dynasties greatly.And the collective discussion was frequently happened especially in the Western Han Dynasty,moreover,many important decisions which affected the later were from the discussion.Therefore,ancient and modern scholars also attach great importance to research on the collective discussion,but their research mostly belongs to the category of political system study of the history,namely focus on the formation,characteristics,connotation and the operation study of the political system.However,the formation and development of a system,will be restricted by the idea of the background and the political environment.From gathering and sorting out the data of the collective discussion,I found that the discussion had a close relationship with the political ideas of the Western Han Dynasty.In specific words,it can be divided into three historical stages,namely,the collective discussion under the guidance of the "quiet and inaction" thoughts in the Early Western Han Dynasty,the collective discussion under the guidance of the "autocratic imperial power" in Wu Zhaoxuan's period,as well as the collective discussion under the guidance of the "rule country by rite" thoughts in the Late Western Han Dynasty.The discussion's content,participant and the resolution are significantly different in the three stages.So,this paper will use the perspective of dynasty political ideas to conduct the research.Besides,the paper will reveal the evolution of the collective discussion in the Western Han Dynasty through the treatise of the profound effect which the political ideas have accorded to the collective discussion.
