| Xie Yijia(1925-2003),born in Yudu County of Jiangxi Province,who had taught in Fujian Normal University for over 40 years after his graduation and had cultivated a large number of excellent students is an artist on oil painting that was influential in art creation and art education in Fujian.His style of oil painting in early period was influenced by the painting style of former Soviet Union,and subject of creations was based on reality,recording events that happened around.He created several of paintings with plots which had historical significance and were regarded as important reference evidence for studying oil painting created in the period when China started to develop after it had been established.With the reform and opening-up policy and better living life,western culture began to affect his style of oil painting,such as impressionism.Moreover,the subject of painting mostly changed into natural scenes and still objects,in order to convey his love to the nature.Xie Yijia was brave to experience new styles,so that he created his style of oil painting by combining Chinese culture and western culture,which shaped up his vital status of art field in Fujian.The thesis divides his life into three main sections according to his changing styles of oil painting,and aims at studying art characteristics of his creations in each period,then it would present a conclusive analysis of stylistic features and drawing techniques.Finally,his idea of art would be associated with writer's creations of oil painting. |
