The Study Of The Application Of Shaanxi Paper-Cutting In Soft Decoration Design

China has thousands years of long history and fifty-six nationalities and its traditional culture is very profound which is the result of the interactions of different thoughts,it has an intelligent and unique taste for beauty that embodies a plain oriental sentiment,and that,is the essence of Chinese culture.As an indispensable part of folk culture and with its distinctive artistic characteristics,Shaanxi paper-cutting inherited the charm of traditional Chinese culture which enriching our life and edifying our sentiment,it has also laid itself a unique and solid culture foundation that mirrors the purest and simplest humanistic spirit.Shaanxi paper-cutting has expanded itself to the domain of modern art and design,and has been widely adapted to modern design.Whereas,as the core of daily life and one of the key parts in home environment,modern soft decoration is given more and more concern.Based on the studies of other researchers and lots of historical records and documents,the author tries to make an analysis of the artistic feature and the feasibility of the use of paper-cutting in soft decoration by the author's own creative practice and design from the development and present situation of both Shaanxi paper-cutting and modern soft-decoration.This study aims to give an academic inspiration to modern soft-decoration design and tries to promote Shaanxi paper-cutting by carrying forward its spirit and idea.
