Spatial Narrative In Agatha Christie's Detective Novels

Agatha Christie created the “golden age”of the detective novel by using her unique artistic charm,awarded “the queen of detective” by British Queen.She have numerous books on detective novel which have made a profound impact on the history of literature.Christie's detective fiction as a kind of unique text style,there have much helpful to literary studies by research of its narrative time,space,form,method and something like this.This thesis aims to analyze the space for interpretation in the Christie's detective fiction by using means of close reading methods and using the basic theory of space narrative,to delve into the representation of textual space,the skill of space narrative and the expression of psychological space of the characters and author,to analyze the profound connotation of Christie's text;This article is divided into three parts: introduction,text and epilogue.The introduction part mainly narrate the research summary of Agatha Christie's detective novels by the domestic and foreign scholars research,which leads to the argument of this article: the research of the spatial narrative in Agatha Christie's detective novels,expounding its research value and research methods.The text is divided into three parts,the first chapter focuses on the analysis the text space in order to form the reasoning by the author in Agatha Christie's detective novels,this chapter is divided into two parts,The first part show the space classification in the detective novels,and looking for the narration and the impact of the virtual and real space which is based on text longitudinal space division of detective novels by the Gabriel Zoran;The second part analysis the author's social history space situation according to Christie travel experiences and the text.The second chapter detailed and specific analysis of the space narrative skill in order to construct the suspense by Christie,including space perspectives and the interaction between time and space.The third chapter mainly discuss the characters psychological space under the influence of the motives of the crime in the novel of Christie.The epilogue summarizes the full text and points out the unique artistic charm of Christie's unique novels,analysis its significance and value of exploiting the spatial narration art research.Summarizes the full text,on the basis of relevant historical materials,this paper comprehensive combed the show of the characteristics of narration space in Christie fiction,from the space narrative point of view,the new level,this paper will explore the unique narrative techniques of Agatha Christie and enrich the understanding of Agatha Christie and her novels.
