Chinese Idiom is a special part of vocabulary system.It has relative stability in form and completeness in meaning,and it is rich in cultural connotation.Because of the complexity of the idiom itself,the interference of the learners national culture and the lack of knowledge of the target language,the idiom's own charm attract international students,but they are troubled by the difficulty of the teaching and learning problems.In this thesis,317 idioms,which included in the Developing Chinese Intermediate Reading Course and Developing Chinese Advanced Reading Course,are the research objects,to arrange and analyze them.At the same time,referring to the idioms in the "Chinese Words and Characters of Foreign Language Syllabus",trying to find an effective method about idiom teaching.This dissertation is divided into four main parts:The first part is the introduction of this paper,mainly elaborate the research background,research status,research methods and innovations,and then discuss the significance and importance of idioms teaching of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,which from improving the ability of reading comprehension and understanding Chinese culture these two partsThe second part is mainly about the arrangement and analysis of the idioms in the reading materials and syllabus.The textbooks,named Developing Chinese of Reading Course is the carrier of the research and analysis.From the number of idioms,distributi on selection,the repetition rate,annotation pattern,the question types,the amount of exercises and so on,to analyze the lay out of the idioms in this set of teaching materials,and further to compare with the idioms in syllabus.The third part is mainly about the suggestions of the reading textbooks editing and the teaching methods.In order to solve the layout and arrangement problems in Developing Chinese Reading Course materials,this paper will bring some feasible suggestions,which is from these four perspectives,for example,the quantity of idioms,the repetition rate,the annotation and the setting of exercises.As for the idiom teaching in reading courses,I will put forward three kinds of idioms teaching methods,they are similar memory method,morpheme method,and the teaching method of performance,and then selects some representative idioms of the Reading textbooks to design“Idiom Micro-courses”.The last part is about the idioms classroom practice in reading courses.On basis of a text in a reading material,the author designs a relatively detailed teaching plans about idioms teaching in a reading course,and then through classroom observation to rethink what's the deficiency and where's the insufficient,expecting to improve the teaching and learning efficiency of idioms teaching in the reading course of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
