Isida Baigan's thought of economic ethics has established the general rationality of businessmen engaged in commercial activities.His thought is influenced by Confucianism,Buddhism and Shinto.In his philosophical thoughts,he stressed that Mencius' s “If you fully explore your mind,you will know your nature”,claiming that mind is the subject of matter and the matter is the object of mind,the mind is not another field of opposites.This requires people to grasp “the reason of mind”.Isida Baigan in the office of the equality of duties,business and profit as useful as theory of duties obtained the moral legitimacy of the people and their professional practice and value orientation and established the ethical values of “being good for profit”.He denied the businessman's behavior of obtaining huge profits and improper profits,considered that people should be based on the integrity of the profits and in pursuit of their legitimate profits at the same time for the benefit of the whole society.He stressed economy,what he said is not only money clothes economy,but also for altruistic motives and integrity and let economy and integrity together,applied to the reality of specific business activities.His thought was widely disseminated at that time,and developed into a kind of social enlightenment movement — Shingaku movement,have had a profound impact on all walks of scholar,farmer,artisan and merchant.
