In traditional Chinese painting, the graphology of Chinese painting has always been unique and one and only in world cultural art.Early in the Southern Dynasties, the“bone method frame painting” in Six Principles of Chinese Painting of Xie He has conducted high generalization on the significance of the “writing techniques” of Chinese painting. The “bone method” is of close relationship with calligraphy,it is not only a kind of requirement on writing strength but also the presence of accuracy and vividness of the strokes.Since Wei and Jin Dynasties,Chinese painting and calligraphy artists have been actively pursuing the connotation of dot painting. This kind of pursuit places the language of picture before image,it is the pursuit for art performance.Chinese has given up the pursuit for objective. As the main language of image, writing techniques' basic characteristics are based on the changes of writing styles.A piece of painting and calligraphy work includes the thickness, straightness and curve and length of lines,dry-moistness and priorities of brush pen and ink;while the graphology writing is transforming the original “form”of the object into artistic “form”,and making it the structure of image language. Objective image is distillated into the spot painting structure. The accuracy of “bone method” makes it precise, clean and vivid.“Bone” is the basic factor for life.Bone principles constituted with writing techniques give it life, that is what we usually call“backbone”.Therefore, graphology writing is the “symbol” and basis for the image to constitute life.“reappearance” in painting as a kind of planar art, instead, they express ideas and feelings with the objects, then image turns to be only the “symbolic”expression.
