The "square dance" of Chinese Dama is a unique cultural phenomenon with Chinese characteristics,reflecting the present situation and aesthetic dilemma of the Chinese popular culture.This paper comes from the perspective of aesthetics with diachronic and synchronic dimensions,and uses comparative and empirical research methods to make an analyze this cultural phenomenon overall and systematically First of all,from a simple identification referring to a certain age group,to the implication of the rich people who spending their money waywardly,and to the proper name of square dancers,the concept of “Chinese Dama” is tend to constantly expend.While the connotation of it appears to be shrinking,that is,“Chines Dama”,without the distinguish of a ge and occupation,states the derogatory term features the characteristics of “weak public and social awareness”,“uneducated manner”,“sexual neutralization”,“self-centered s elfishness” and other obvious derogatory implications.The square-dance integrates the communication,entertainment,leisure,and fitness in one.,like a kind of performing art.In essence,Chinese Dama group aesthetics of life.Specifically,it represents in the following aspects: As the aesthetic subject Chinese Dana,can be regarded as a group of Dance Machine or unusual "environment dancers " Neutral dance forms,situational impromptu dance,have relations with environment rather than expressing certain feelings through dancing.This is the difference between traditional dancers and Chinese Dama,Second,the dancing space tends to adaptation and publicity,presents arbitrary of spending leisure time and dance field,thus distancing stage from the traditional dancing stage.Third,programmed performance paradigm,no matter the time and space,the "square dance" across China,always presents the tendency of gymnastic inclination and Shanzhai.To emphasize performance rather than art.Fourth,the violence aesthetic swith the characteristics of strong,public and noisy of revealed the alienation of aest hetic taste of Chinese Dama.Its popularity is not accidental.On the one hand its rout ine dance is influenced by the collective unconscious of the Han nationality,which with the conformity,huddling and obedience.On the other hand,the modern tradition sp ort-style dance,results in the discoordination of technology and art: the body aphasia,as well as the inner emptiness,which reflects the survival dilemma of aesthetic traditi on that is "change people through dancing".In view of this,this paper discusses Chin ese Dama-style “square dance” in the aesthetics way.The main frame of the article is divided into five parts:the introduction part includes the research background,the research significance,the research method,the concept definition,and the previous research review and so on.The first chapter,this paper talks about the origin and rheology of the Chinese "square dance",and summarizes the history development of the "square dance" : from the original ritual dance then the modern “folk music” to the “thematic group dance” of political style and finally to the Dama’s huddling “square dance”.In the second chapter,this paper explores the aesthetic form of Chinese Dama from the environment dancers,square and adaptation dancing space,performance paradigm and violence aesthetics these four levels.The third chapter is about the cultural source of Chinese Dama style "square dance" from national cultural psychology and the historical and realistic dimension to analyze the reasons for Chinese "Square dance" The fourth chapter,the aesthetics value and reflection of basis of Square Dance.To make a dialectical analysis of Square dance and conclude the life aesthetic significance of it.Besides,on the basis of reflection,to come up with suggestions and advice about aesthetical ways.
