On Euphemism And It Is Chinese Translation In ?the Story Of Letters?

Euphemism is an important part of language,and is a common phenomenon of many languages.It changes with the development of language and society's progress.The thesis is based on the predecessors' study of Uighur euphemism,concluding and summarizing parts of euphemism in the story of the letters.From the perspective of pragmatic functions,euphemism is roughly divided into four categories: taboo functions(about death,disease,anatomy,physiology behavior);polite function;beautify the role;with humor and fun nature.And the classic cases and the Chinese translation of the works were selected for contrast analysis.Finally the problems and solutions euphemism in the Uighur language in the process of Chinese translation were simply analyzed and summarized.The innovation point of the thesis is based on the frequency of the occurrence of Uighur types of euphemism when talking to analyze the contained cultural connotation,which lets us understand a more comprehensive nation.
