Gerhard Richter's art has multiple contraditions,and now the analysis about contraditions in the study of his art practice in China is simple analysis and replacement of multiple contraditions,understood as the expression of values and classical humanism,as well as the development of the present feasibility of painting.However,in this article,Richter's understanding of the transformation between photograpy and painting,the characteristics of fuzziness,the classicism in the historical “Photo Painting”,reveals the objective reality of photagraph and the feasibility of painting of dialectical understanding of Richter;from the relationship between Gerhard with German history,new art movement,culture renaissance and the return of painting to demonstrate the fromation of artistic contraditions and the importance of basing on contemporary and revivaling tradition to improve painting;classicism and contemporary nature emphasizes the importance of huamanism spirit and the meaning behand image: understanding of modernism and postmodernism and influence of industrial culture and popular culture on art in the post modernism period;however,what Richter reveals in image's meaning in his practice is about a practice of art history,it provide a kind of artistic practice about visual order and system for Chinese contemporary Art.;to be an artist,he not only thinks about how to be an artist,but also thinks about how to face the social problem in paintings,this ideal help us pay more attention to society when we study about Ricther's art.
