In the view of Chinese traditional culture,sports and intelligence seem to be two parallel lines that never cross.The word that people most associate with sports is “exercise”.In 1983,Howard Gardner,a professor of psychological development and education at Harvard University of America,proposed the theory of Multiple Intelligences which brought eight kinds of intelligence including interpersonal intelligence into the category of human intelligence for the first time.Thus,we can explore the relationship between the body movement and intelligence from a deeper level.One of the interpersonal intelligence refers to good at telling the difference among other people's emotions,motivation,qualities and skills,reading others' feeling,and distinguishing different interpersonal cues as well as the ability to make appropriate responses to these suggestions.As one aspect of the theory of Multiple Intelligences,interpersonal intelligence plays a great important role in sports teaching.Sport dance is an emerging sport project that fuses music,dance and gymnastics,and a performance activity that needs to be completed by male and female partners.Therefore,the relationship between male and female partners in sport dance teaching has a status that not allowed to be ignored.The common teaching methods in traditional sport dance teaching are similar to those related projects that are composed of expository teaching,demonstration teaching,password reminder teaching,and so on.These methods achieved teaching results by widely used while ignored the pertinence of the cooperation between partners that is the essence of sport dance.Most sport dance practitioners think cooperation between partners is getting along with each other after class without the need for a solution in the teaching and class.This study is based on in-depth understanding and research about the proposal,background,connotation,development and education connotation of interpersonal intelligence included in the theory of Multiple Intelligences,with methods of literature material,expert interview,questionnaire,teaching experiment and logic analysis,and using mathematical statistics to deal with the data from experiment.The results showed that: 1 The test scores in students' technique of the experimental group and the control group have significant difference.Interpersonal intelligence applied to sport dance teaching in sport dance skills level greatly superior to the traditional teaching mode.2 There is significant difference in students' language application ability between the experimental group and the control group.Compared with traditional teaching mode,sport dance teaching,under the guidance of interpersonal intelligence theory,makes students get fully improvement on expression ability.3 There is difference in students' innovation ability between the experimental group and the control group.In comparison with traditional teaching mode,sport dance under the guidance of interpersonal intelligence makes students have more rational and perceptual knowledge and provides students with sufficient play space so as to have composes interest.4 There is significant difference in students' teaching practice ability between the experimental group and the control group.With the application of interpersonal intelligence,sport dance is superior to the traditional teaching mode in improving students' sport dance teaching practice ability.5 There is no great difference in students' thinking ability between the experimental group and the control group.People are unable to find the difference temporarily between sport dance with the guidance of interpersonal intelligence theory and traditional teaching.
