In the current era of large data with information diversity and rapid growth trend, fast reading ability which quickly search and extract critical information has been paid more and more attention.Previous studies have shown that reading has a close relationship with the information processing mode, and different cognitive styles can reflect a individual’s typical modes of perceiving, problem analyzing, and it shows differences in reading scores, reading emphasis, interference suppression ability of reading. This study attempts to explore the information processing characteristics of the eighth grade bilingual students of Kazak in different cognitive styles in rapid reading task, which determines the key information in the form of problem-oriented,and to reveal the eye movement characteristics of students with different cognitive styles in rapid reading, and through rapid reading intervention training,we hope to improve their fast reading ability. In this study,60 subjects with typical characteristics were selected by Embedded Figures Test.We used SMI RED eye tracking instrument to record the eye movement data in rapid reading. In experiment 1,we use two-factor mixed design of2(cognitive style)× 2(reading style),so as to obtain the differences of eye movement characteristics of different cognitive styles students in key information. The results showed that the FI subjects were significantly better than FD subjects in the reading speed, the correct rate and the effective reading speed; The FI subjects were significantly less than FD subjects in fixation counts, saccade counts, average saccade distance in the article and region of interest;FI subjects were significantly less than FD subjects in fixation rate of region of interest; There was significant interaction between reading style and cognitive style on average pupil diameter; There was no significant difference on the average fixation time, fixation time and fixation counts of the region of interest. The second experiment: The rapid reading training of Kazak FD students,we use equivalent group of experimental design is aim to examing whether the experimental group performed better than control group in rapid reading. The results showed that the experimental group was significantly greater than the control group on average saccade distance, and in the regressions of the Fourth interest area, experimental group was significantly less than the control group; There were no significant differences between the experimental group and the control group on the indexes which include the fixation counts, fixation time, regressions, average saccade amplitude of an article or interest area.To summarize, results as follows:1.In rapid reading task,FI subjects performed better than FD subject;in the area of critical information,FI subjects have more fixations than FD,it indicates that FI subjects can extract the key information effectively, and optimize the allocation of attention resources,so they have better reading skills.2.FI subjects have shorter average saccade distance, fewer regressions, while the field-dependent subjects are the opposite,so they have used different reading strategies,FI subjects adopt conservative eye movement strategies, and FD subjects use risky eye movement strategies.3.After the rapid reading training, the experimental group have longer saccades, more regressions than the control group, this indicates that the rapid reading training had certain effect, but it didn’t achieve the desired results.
