Talking About The Utilization And Protection Of Drinking Water Resources In Guizhou Province From The Wells Inscriptions

Water is the source of life,offering basic condition for whole universe lives.Water breeds the human beings as the universe lives well.The emergence of well is the wisdom of the ancestors to solve the problems in daily life and production activities.It is the product of harmonious relationship between man and nature,as well as a symbolof civilized society.The material life and spiritual life of original ancestors are influenced by water culture contained in wells.The earliest well was found in Neolithic Hemudu ancient cultural sites,indicating that well had been used by human beings in ancient times.It is a cultural symbol human use,respect and comply with nature.To some extent,the wells ease the problems of deficiency of ground water marking the time when people live in community.Wells,serving as the water order center of the village society,maintains the link among people,villages and society.This paper consists of five parts.The preface introduces the reason and research significance,the research status,the research ideas and the method,the concept definition;The second part introduces the basic situation of the wells inscriptions,such as distribution,type,characteristics and so on.The third part introduces the problems of Guizhou drinking water resources and the protection measures of drinking water resources;The fourth part discusses the protection of drinking water resources in Guizhou from the inscriptions;The fifth part discusses the "legal consciousness" and the local environmental protection Consciousness to bring the reference and inspiration of Guizhou today;the final conclusion part summarizes the central idea of the article.Wells inscriptions have witnessed the cultural implications behind wells and their water resources.The use of water resources by people includes water for life and water for industry.Tthe official records about water resources mainly focus on water for production and irrigation while little records domestic water,especially in border areas,ethnic areas,and undeveloped areas.And folk records a lot about the conscious use and protection of drinking water resources as well as domestic water,one of which is inscription.This paper attempts to use the wells as the basic historical data and the starting point to study how wells in village society to become the order center of power and the ecological environment culture behind from the Ming and Qing dynasties in Guizhou in the perspective of social history.
