One of the focal point in teaching Chinese as a foreign language is the adjective teaching.The number of emotional adjectives is large,and the emotion is exquisite and euphemistic.Therefor,It is difficult for Chinese learners.There are many studies on adjective teaching methods in China,but there is no substantive innovation and progress.Lakoff and Johnson's metaphor theory has been put forward,which has attracted the attention of industry scholars,and the research on cognitive metaphor has came out one after another.Metaphorical competence has been implemented in the teaching of English vocabulary teaching in order to cultivate students' metaphorical consciousness.This paper attempts to introduce cognitive metaphor theory into the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language,and explore the effect of metaphorical competence teaching on the learners' emotional adjectives.It is hoped that this thesis can arouse the understanding of metaphor theory of TCSL teachers and become useful information for teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The paper is divided into five parts: The first chapter introduces the background and reason of the topic,the purpose and significance of the study,the research methods and the research on the teaching of metaphorical competence at home and abroad.The second chapter summarizes the definition of emotional adjectives,and analyze the errors of emotional adjectives,Based on HSK dynamic composition corpus.In addition,it explains Lakoff conceptual metaphor theroy and describes conceptual metaphor type of emotional adjectives,which clarifies the theoretical basis of the article.The third chapter introduces the comparative experiment of before and after the implementation of metaphorical competence teaching.Besides it talks about the experimental material,the design and the experiment process.Then get a detailed analysis and comparison with the use of spass23.0.In the fourth chapter,from the aspects of syllabus,teachingmaterial and teaching,this paper puts forward feasible and effective teaching suggestions for the teaching of emotional adjectives in order to be helpful for teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The last part summarizes the full text and points out the research insufficiency.
