The Characteristics Of Pitch And Depth In OKANAGON By Giacinto Scelsi

Giacinto Scelsi(1905-1988)is a famous Italian composer in twentieth century.He established a theory of personal feature called “sound” and his application of “sound theory” had successfully expanded his exploration to “sound”.In order to investigate the application of Scelsi’s “sound theory”,this paper uses the work “OKANAGON” as a starting point and does an analysis from the perspective of the pitch and depth of sound patterns in “sound theory”.The paper tries to summarize the composer’s application of specific technical means in this paper in realizing or expressing his “sound opinion”.The goal of this paper is to explore the sound thinking of personal creation,and enhance the writer’s ability to think about the relationship between creation ideas and technological application so as to stimulate the improvement of creative practice level.
