Research On The Design Of Theme Sculpture In Urban Landscape Design

With the continuous improvement of China's economic level and urban construction speed,sculpture art has a rapid increasing development tend with its own extensive aesthetic value.It is used as a city card so that people feels the city's historical connotation and culture atmosphere.Moreover,there is no doubt that the thematic sculpture has been the indispensable element of the city's humanistic environment and even becomes the increasing factor of the city's cultural industry.In this paper,the Shanxi Merchants' hometown is used as an example,and mainly researching the thematic sculpture design from the theoretical level and design practice level.And this paper is based on thematic sculpture and combined with culture of Shanxi merchants and regional features to practice the thematic sculpture design method in urban landscape design from m the theme selection,spatial scale,material color,form of expression and other aspects respectively.Though the combination of thematic sculpture design and city culture,the tomes civilization can be shown,the regional culture can be inheritd,the nation spirit can be promoted and the city image can be shaped as well.In this paper,the study of the thematic sculpture design in urban landscape design is illustrated as the following three parts:The first part briefly introduces the research background,purpose and research methods from the theoretical level to clarify the basic concepts of urban landscape design and thematic sculpture design further.The second part elaborates and demonstrates the key value of the thematic sculpture design in the urban landscape design with the domestic and foreign thematic sculpture related cases.Moreover,this part summarizes the basic principle and expression form in a series of thematic sculptures design process according to current domestic situation in thematic sculpture development so that making a clear idea and plan for thematic sculpture design.The third part researches and develops the problems and solutions in detail in the practicing process of thematic sculpture design according to the sculpture design program in Shanxi Merchants' hometown and shows a comprehensive design plan finally.
