The title of this thesis is An Individualist Who Loves Calm and Freedom—An Elaboration of Zhu Ziqing. There are five parts in this thesis which consists the introduction, three chapters and the conclusion. The thesis embroiders on the elaboration from three chapters: the first chapter focuses on the person;the second chapter discusses his works;the third chapter is on his ideological trend.Concretely, the thesis is as follows:Introduction expounds the reasons for writing, brief review of Zhu Ziqing, the structure and research methods of this thesis. The first chapter is entitled “Zhu Ziqing is a Chinese patient”.And the key words are the Chinese patient and inferior complex. This chapter is the origin and logical point of this thesis.By using the theory of inferiority complex in Adler's What Life Should Mean to You,combined with the documentation(biography, chronology)of Zhu Ziqing,it explains what kind of person Zhu Ziqing is from cultural psychology analysis. The inferior complex describers Zhu Ziqing from the individual and inside perspectives and makes the basis for the argumentation “Zhu Ziqing's works is also the works of inferior complex”.The Chinese patient is the new concept proposed in this thesis, which is intended to reveal Zhu Ziqing's sinification meaning as a new generation of intellectuals.China's new literature started from the New Culture Movement.Literature bore the mission of cultural criticism from then.Pioneers pursued cultural transformation due to their negative judgment of Chinese culture. And Zhu Ziqing couldn't escape from the formation of mother culture.Theorist hope to link Zhu Ziqing to the world outside him.It paves the way for the thoughts in the third chapter, and it offers natural connecting link in the logical structure. Many former judgments on Zhu Ziqing is inherited constantly, but developed with dialectical color by the thesis.Such as characters of Zhu Ziqing about temperate, kind, courteous, restrained and magnanimous, the thesis argue that it is not only the result of culture but also the evolution of his personal psychology. In the last section of this chapter, the author summarizes the research ideas held by the paper by means of the theory of literary research methodology, and puts forward that “presentation is more important than judgment”,calling for “transitive literature study”,“only full microcosm leads to real macro” and other research ideas. The second chapter is an elaboration of Zhu Ziqing's prose.Zhu Ziqing's new poems and several novels get very general feedbacks.Essay is the subject of his later creation, which is discussed in the third chapter of this thesis. The main body of this chapter is prose. Keywords: no mother;no love;body writing;spiritual repentance. The purpose of this chapter is to establish the central content with the aim of distinguishing it from the previous “artistic theory” of Zhu Ziqing's prose. This chapter summarizes the language, rhetoric technique and style of his proses. The main body mainly makes interpretation of Zhu's prose in several striking but not mentioned phenomenon, trying to analyze Zhu's prose social and cultural psychology implications.Such research perspective determines what the main method used by the theorists is cultural and psychological analysis. And through the analysis of the problems contained in several phenomena of Zhu's proses, theist hopes to expand the territory of Zhu Ziqing's research. The last part is conclusion. In the former study of Zhu Ziqing,I think there are some shortcomings, some belong to the methodological issues, some belong to thinking problems, some belong to issues of how academic and politics, history, morality intersecting with each other,my article makes some kind of response in my own ways, hope that my work can make contribute to the study of Zhu Ziqing.
