Tibetan nuns as a typical group of Tibetan women,is one of the creators of Tibetan culture. At the same time,is bound to be under the influence of different cultures showing a different face as people in culture. However,we've knew little about this group for a long time. Therefore, the author hope that this group can be known and understood by more people. In order to highlight the uniqueness and typicality,I chose a representative nunnery monastery in the multi-ethnic area to carry out my fieldwork and interviews, then synthesized previous research and theories from different discipline. Finally, analyze their gender roles from the local historical and cultural backgrounds and through the appearance of nuns' religious practice life. This paper is divided into four parts: the first part is mainly on the reasons for the topic, domestic and foreign research and applying theory and methods;the second part is mainly on the Wangfu Temple's location and history;the third part is mainly about the case study-how the Wangfu Temple nuns choose to leave their family to here, and their religious practice and daily life, from which analyzed their society relationship network. The fourth part is the summary and reflection of the article, and I'm also thinking about other issues such as why the nuns' situation in Amdo area differ from the other regions, what they are misunderstood as and how to eliminate.
