Culture is the lifeblood of a nation, and also the moral kingpin on which a nation relies for survival and development. As the main carrier of cultural heritage, museums preserve, exhibit and pass on historical, artistic and scientific works and knowledge, and thus are undoubtedly an important driving force for cultural development. However, while we are promoting the development of museums,we should not neglect the improvement of museum professionals' comprehensive quality. They are the intellectual support for museums, and can directly decide the level of museum development.Only after we build up a well-qualified talent team, can museums achieve rapid and healthy growth, and bring more economic and social benefits. This report selects Chapters 5-8 of the book A Life in Museums: Managing Your Museum Career as its translation material. The book gives a detailed introduction to all aspects of museum career through uncovering the museum work experiences of several authors of the book. This report takes the phenomenon of blanks of meaning in translation as its study object, and summarizes two strategies to deal with such blanks based on the theories of fuzzy linguistics and reception aesthetics. In the later chapter, this report further describes specific translation skills to deal with blanks of meaning by adopting the case study method. It is expected that this report can offer career guide for museum professionals and at the same time shed some light on the phenomenon of blanks of meaning.
