| With the excavation of the tomb of Zeng Houyi, the Chime bell, as symbol of Chu culture of the court instruments came into the people’s vision. The Chime bell, which had a unique sound, played an important role in the Chinese traditional musical instruments.The existing conditions and protection measures of the Chime bells are valued by the musical scholars and performers. However, in the current times, most people only hear of the Chime bell,and they don’t understand the performance of the Chime bell, as well as the protection and Chu culture. Up to now, only the choreography and temperament of the Chime bell had been studied, and little of its production skills and cultural development was studied, which limits the further development of the Chime bell culture both at home and abroad. In order to make the Chime bell as the representative of the Chu culture to be better carried forward, and the Chime bells can be seen more in the cultural field, so that the cultural status of the Chime bell can be improved, we investigated the status of the Chime bells in Chu culture and the protection and inheritance of the Chime bell culture and Chu culture in Hubei Province, we also visited the manufacturers of the Chime bell, and we analyzed the role of the Chime bell in cultural transmission, and analyzes the problems existing in the current carrying forward of the chime bells, based on the use of bells and bells in the Yellow Crane Tower Art Troupe in Hubei Province, to make the Chime bells show the essence of Chu culture better, and more people like it, so as to achieve the purpose of carrying forward the traditional Chinese culture. |
