China's thematic painting gradually in the modem political movement of the national development and maturity.The women's liberation movement and the transformation of the concept of society as an important part in the struggle of the democratic revolution,affects the art works in different periods of female image,also including maternal image changes.Based on the thematic maternal image as the research object in history painting creation,tried to analyze the social background of different historical period,creative thinking,cultural connotation,social effect and aesthetic idea under the restriction of female image in the works of art expression,further investigate the cognition of different age society for women with maternity and image construction,and women on maternity this itself characteristics and the role of social cognition,through the analysis of the female image of moving,beyond the political demands and discourse strategies,interpretation thematic painting from the perspective of art ontology and human nature of a mother's love and humanistic care,to avoid the cognition of thematic painting simplification.
