This paper is based on the perspective of communication to study the emotional performance of exhibition design.The author put the exhibition design as a complete communication process,for the spread of five elements: subject,content,media,audience and effect,respectively from the aspects of emotional expression made a specific analysis.In this paper,firstly,the author analyzes the communication subject(communicator)in the exhibition design,according to the different functions of the communicator in the exhibition,it is divided into the direct communicator and the indirect communicator.This paper focuses on the analysis of the most important direct communicator,the exhibition designer,from the two aspects of the main role in the exhibition design and the emotional factors which affect it.Then,the author defines and analyzes the characters of propagating audiences in the design,and then studies their emotional influence.Then,This paper studies the dissemination content of the exhibition design,and analyzes the method,principle and how to affect the performance of the content.Finally,the author studies the media and the effect of communication in exhibition design.The medium of communication is the form of communication,which is the focus of this article.In order to fully demonstrate the relationship between the media and the effect of communication in the design,With the help of Donald Arthur Norman's theory of emotional design,this paper applies the research results of three levels of human instinct level,behavior level and reflective level to the emotional design of exhibition design.At the same time,according to the media effect type map of British communication scholar McQuail as well as the relationship between various factors,the exhibition design of the communication effect is divided into four categories,research and analyze the changes of behavior and attitude of the audience and the corresponding trend.It is proved that applying emotional exhibition design is an important and effective means to achieve effective communication.
