Poetic Inhabitation—Li Po' Landscape Potery And Ecological Aesthetics

Li Po is a rarely legendary and talented poet in the history of Chinese literature.He is honored for his poems through Tang dynasty.Being generally referred to as "poetic genius",Li Po had been shining glitteringly in the whole history of Chinese literature.In Tang dynasty which is famous for its poem,the style of Li Po in composing his poem is quite unique."The charm of Li Po is the charm of Tang dynasty".From the aspect of quantities of writings in landscape poetry,Li Po is one of the best among Tang's poets,which makes he more distinguished.On one hand,Li Po loves landscape with his whole soul and is fond of depicting the beauty of landscape powerfully.His scenic poems cover almost half the territory of China,and none of ancient Chinese scenic poem can be compared with his masterpieces in terms of vigor and range.On the other hand,Li Po's landscape poetry reveals independent and elegant individual value.This poet loves and respects nature,and becomes intimate friends with Her,visiting all the well-known mountains and rivers,shaping anthropo-cosmic himself in the nature.The poet's brilliant ideas and colorful cantos make the water flowing and mountains green.The bold momentum is full of beat of lives.After carefully reading the landscape poetry of Li Po,we analyze the ecological aesthetics consciousness and the ecological wisdom reflected from the poems.This thesis is divided into three parts.The first chapter describes the ecological aesthetics thought reflected from Li Po's landscape poetry,which presents awe and respect to the nature.This thesis mainly analyzes the pleasure of immersing in the nature,the friend and the wisdom acquired from the equal communication between natural landscape and Li Po himself and then makes a thorough inquiry into the ecological aesthetics consciousness that the poem shows in the perspective of ecological aesthetics,ecological values and ecological ethics.The second chapter presents the art features of Li Po's landscape poetry,analyze the features' source——the poet's love and integration of the nature,and then combines with specific poem to analyze its smart rhythm,fresh image and uninhibited style in order to highlight the unique value of landscape poetry and tell us how to achieve ourselves in the landscape poetry.Chapter 3 discusses the apocalyptic meaning in modern society conveyed by Li Po's landscape poetry with regard to the ecological wisdom,ideology and aesthetics.Firstly,we clarify the origins or inspirations of the aesthetic connotation of Li Po's landscape poetry,namely the Confucian indiscriminating benevolence and Taoist idea that all people are my brothers and I share the life of all creatures and the cosmos.Secondly,we expound the natural and intellectual ecological beauty implied in Li Po's landscape poetry.Finally,exploring the realistic question of the imbalance between modern people and natural environment,we propose the notion of “poetic inhabitation”,as a result of the rational speculation on wise ecological relations based on harmonious coexistence.
