| Opera Qu Yuan is a large opera seria launched by committeeman of opera art ensemble and armed police headquarters in the end of 1990s.This opera was the last immortality of Shi Guangnan which was adapted by both Shi Guangnan and Han Wei according to the drama with the same title written by Guo Moruo, and rearrange by Shi Zhiyou. It shows a popular history story for more than two thousand years ago in the form of opera with grand and majestic momentum. The composer uphold his consistent outstanding level in this opera, the creation of music aria (aria,still, etc.) is with both beauty and difficulty; which is a big success for the fusion of western creation technique and the Chinese national music and also making the important contribution to the development of opera creation. This paper makes a research of opera art features of "Qu Yuan",attempts to explore the deep factors behind the phenomenon, excavates its artistic value and promotes these to theoretical level through the drama of opera " Qu Yuan " and the overall music ontology research. This may provide some reference worthy for later researchers and the development of Chinese opera creation.This paper is composed of introduction and four chapters.Introduction: Mainly combed and introduced the development of Chinese opera, the research status and research significance of opera Qu Yuan.Chapter 1: Shi Guangnan and opera Qu Yuan. Life of Shi Guangnan,his musical creation, creation background and the plot structure of opera Qu Yuan is combed and introduced.Chapter 2: Music art features of opera Qu Yuan which is the key point of this paper.
