Chinese of Science and Technology,is similar to Business Chinese,Commercial Chinese and Medical Chinese,it is all about Chinese for special purposes,its contents related to science and technology,physics and chemistry knowledge,it was adapted to the needs of modern development,reflecting the latest scientific research,it suited for the science and engineering foreign students.Research on Chinese teaching of science and technology will help promote overseas Chinese talents’ learning,help carry forward domestic developments of Chinese science and technology disciplines,also enrich and improve the discipline system of Chinese teaching in special purposes.In this paper,we take the Brazilian preppies in Central China Normal University as an example,analyzed four aspects of Chinese teaching in Science and Technology,which includes the textbooks we usually used ,the content of courses,teaching methods and the test and assessment system.The second chapter is study of textbooks about Chinese of Science and Technology and the elaboration of teaching content of Chinese of Science and Technology.Firstly,reviewed the preparation of the textbooks in last three decades;secondly,elaborated from the textbooks’ language features and the text characteristics.Language features include lexical characteristics and grammar features; text characteristics include the structure features and content characteristics.Chinese textbooks for science and technology at this stage still have some problems,we need to pay attention to the preparation of a systematic teaching of Chinese of Science and Technology,focusing on materials targeted,professional and practical,so that the textbooks can be better assisted teaching. With the respect of the content, I still take the reading-writing courses for Brazilian students in CCNU as an example. Firstly, it introduces the nature and objectives of the course,and then uses the chart to describe each course’s content and theme,finally illustrates the general education requirements and higher requirements.The third chapter focuses on teaching methods of Chinese of Science and Technology. It is summed up by the teaching experience of the author as well as some theoretical references about teaching methods.First part is about vocabulary teaching, the"Direct Method","Scenario Law","Formula Method","Exemplification"are often used in this part.Second part is about Chinese of Science and Technology’s common formats,the"Induction Method", "Algorithm Method", "Scenario Law"are often used.The last part is about the teaching methods in passage teaching,most lessons used "Cognitive Approach"throughout,sometimes used "Audiovisual Law" help learning.Teaching methods is not static,according to different teaching objects,objectives,tasks,we would promptly adjust teaching methods to improve teaching effectiveness.The fourth chapter describes the testing and evaluation system of Chinese of Science and Technology.First introduces the type of test in CCNU,then uses the examples to illustrate the content of test,finally note of this course for teaching evaluation,assessed from the perspectives of both students and teachers.The fifth chapter describes some of the author’s experience in the teaching process as well as some shortcomings to correct and also gives some useful suggestions about teaching.With respect to teaching Chinese of Science and Technology,we still need to do further research and investigate,so that we can reveal the linguistic features and teaching models.We also need more and more teachers with rich teaching experience,who can summarize the most useful way for teaching so that make it more efficient.We also need the country to provide support and help in the major policy,establish the teaching mode and confirm the teaching content in professional Chinese teaching, to be an excellent guide of the teachers.
