The Influence Of Cultural Distance On China’s Foreign Trade Volumes In The Background Of "The Belt And Road"

Since the WW Ⅱ, the pattern of the international trade through the established of the Bretton Woods System, the talks of World Trade Organization and so on, because of a lot of activities by countries, the amount of trade has a long term stabilized and improved.In the period, China has a great of achievements. Since 2001 to 2013, China joined WTO,and became the biggest commercial trade country. The successes were glory.But, with the subprime crisis of America in2008 swept across the whole world financial market, and there are terroristic organization and disharmony in European Union because of the debt crisis, caused international trade deals surrounded by a vicious environment.Based on that, lots of countries and organizations think about many ways to try to solves them, such as negotiation of free trade agreements, convene of G20, found the BRICS and so on. The "One Belt and One Road", put by China, try to improve every country, economy by cooperation on trade, investment etc,with the potential development space on Asia and Europe,. On the other hand,the strategy acts as an important role in the reform of China.In general speaking,"One Belt and One Road" contains of economy,polity and culture. Economy and culture has profound and complex links. In the one hand, economy can drive culture industry and improve it in a period of time; on the other hand, culture also can affect the development trend of economy. In the strategy, we should force on how to spread the Chinese culture into other countries, how to make the differences in different cultures, mutual respect and understand the other culture in real, how to really do people connected by heart and soul. In the same moment, we also should take attention to questions that how culture to affect the development way of economy, to ensure that we can learn and make economic and culture together, and study a way to let both of them develop well and promote the strategy.On the base of sort out the literatures about theories of international trade and the influences of cultural difference to international trade, combined with data of 2005-2014,this paper analyses the cultural exchanges and trade between China and other countries among in the scope of strategy. And based on the mechanism and path of the influence of cultural distance on the flow of international trade, through the construction of the improved gravity model, the paper gets the empirical result that the whole cultural distance has negative impact on flows, but the opposite direction impact are in the two combination variables. Based on the empirical results, combined with the reality of China,this paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions form four aspects: Building a platform for cultural exchange and promoting industrial development. Strengthening cultural and educational exchange and promoting cultural cooperation. Setting up the link between business and government and pulling the cultural development. Matching the domestic cultural policy and innovating the international cultural trade industry.
