The Influence Of Different Emotions On Individual Moral Decision

Previous studies find that induced different emotions affect the moral decision-making principle.At the same time it also affects the behavior selection tendency in different moral domains.In addition,effects of different emotions have the specific moral field.However,in previous studies,although it is based on the appraisal theory of emotion to select emotions,just select the part of emotion,and there is no systematic test of emotion.In addition,the selection of moral dilemma materials are harm to save dilemmas,it has low value of reality the use.This study mainly study on the influence of inducing different specific emotions on moral decision-making in the individual through the three mixed experimental.Firstly,we select the emotion evaluation of cognitive appraisal dimensions in important pleasantness,responsibility and uncertainty dimensions,and base on these dimensions to select six kinds of different specific emotions.Secondly,we base on the Moral Foundations theory and that our country pay more attention to select experimental material,such as care,honesty and professional ethics,which is closely related to people’s life.We use the method of autobiographical recall to induce the emotion in experiment,then finish the moral decision-making task.In order to prevent the participants to highlight their positive qualities in answer,we use the general social desirability scale to control it.The results showed that(1)In addition to anger,the influence of the different pleasantness,uncertainty and responsibility dimensions of the emotions on moral decision making is no significant difference.We found that the cognitive appraisal dimensions of emotion cann’t interpret our results.(2)When anger compared with any other kind of emotions,the influence on moral decision-making is significant difference.In anger emotion,the altruistic behavior tendency is lower.(3)We also find that moral decision dilemma significantly affect moral dicision-making.Egoism behavior tendency in honesty field is lower than it in other fields.And altruistic behavior tendency in care field is lower than it in other fields.We found that the core appraisal themes can interpret this.Different emotions have different social and moral concerns that will lead to different moral judgment,which will lead to different moral decision.This is in line with China.
