The Application Of Cat Of The Translation Of Handbook Of Nature Study (Excerpt)

The author of this paper chose the chapter of Woods and Fields from Handbook of Nature Study to analysis the application of CAT in popular science translation.It is a popular science work for pupils,and this chapter mainly introduces the experimental methods of observing the insects of woods and fields.Firstly I made an introduction to the development and significance of popular science translation and CAT in China,which is going to make readers understand the necessity of the combination of them.Secondly,by illustrating several specific examples,I elaborated the application of CAT in popular science from 3 process of translation-pre-translation,while-transaltion and post-translation.And at last I come to the conclusion that CAT plays an important role in modern science translation project and we should attach more significance to it.However,it is not completely accepted by the whole industry and as for the degree of the mastery of CAT and the development of its theoretical study,there is still a long way to go.
