In both the ancient and the current maritime and overland silk roads, porcelains, especially export porcelains, promote mutual-learning,assimilation and spread of art subjects, patterns and shapes among different cultures over the world. However, the researches on export porcelains are relatively weak in China while lots of researches on this aspect are made abroad. Therefore, under the belt and road initiative, this thesis explores how the writer adopts such translation techniques as literal translation, free translation, literal translation with annotations, sequential translation and split translation to render words and sentences excerpted from Blanc de Chine of Fukien,Celadon wares,Porcelain made for export to South East Asia,Shapes,Sources of Inspiration,Scenes and Subjects of Porcelain of the East India Companies based on Gutt's relevance-translation theory. In this way, these techniques can ensure that domestic export porcelain researchers and lovers attain most contextual effects and have a correct understanding of the source text's intentions by making necessary processing efforts. This thesis not only does not continue to focus on Chinese-English translation of porcelains, but also increases researches on English-Chinese translation of export porcelains and pushes forward artistic exchanges between the east and the west.
