On The Clan And Local Societies In The Southeast Region Of Hubei In Ming And Qing Dynasties

The history memory of the Yangxin Wu clan in the Southeast of Hubei can be traced back to the Spring and Autumn Ages,Wu zixu.Until the early Ming dynasty,the Wu clan had the exact family records,before the family stories were lack of relevant literature research.The Wu clan though traced its father back to Wu zixu,but its start moving progenitor and industry face progenitor is Beilun Gong and Jinyi Gong of the late Song dynasty.Until the Ming dynasty hongwu years(1369),Wanquan Gong founded genealogy,the family was really authentic documents.The Wu clan set up ancestral temple in Shunzhi decade(1653),after the emperor Qianlong(1759)to families in YiMao spectrum combination,and to make up the full spectrum of Wu,and unified family line.Though building genealogy,ancestraling hall,offering field,the Wu clan completed the process from wandering to integrate.At the same time,the Wu clan as a local clan began to intervene in local affairs,advocates,organizers and managers in local affairs.In this paper in the form of the activity of the Wu clan members,present development and regional social relations,so as to analyze the characteristics of the clan and of the development of social interaction,which demonstrates the development process and characteristics of regional society.This article will be discussed from three parts:the first part of the company's ancestors legends and historical memory of construction,mainly through some Wu clan's ancestors stories or legends,construct the history of the Wu clan,and dissect the Wu clan fall industry here.The second part tells about the Wu clan organization process,that is,through building ancestral temple,the Wu clan genealogy,offering field from unraveling the integration process.The third part focuses on the Wu clan for family rule and ZuGui,processing within families,ethnic conflicts,in a time of social peace,clan gentry to participate in local social public welfare and education career;At the time of social unrest,defend the native place to maintain local social order and so on.
