The Study On The Development Of Straw-weaving In Laizhou,Shandong Province

Straw has a long history,is an important part of Chinese folk arts and crafts.It was born in the working people of the most basic production and life,had been deeply rooted in the folk,are closely related with the daily necessities of life.By the end of the Qing Dynasty,wheat straw braid exports as the beginning of Laizhou straw industry gradually developed.Amid undone after the founding of New China,the folk arts and crafts such as straw,export exchange is regarded as the main force of export exchange,has been greatly valued and development,from daily necessities increasingly commercialized,became mass production of products,has brought enormous social and economic benefits.However,with the development of society,the business model of Laizhou straw series is no longer adapt to the new era situation,go to decline under the influence of many factors.Just as iron replaced bronze,the decline Laizhou straw is an inevitable result of social development,we should consider how to guide the transformation of straw in the existing conditions and made it continue to exist.This paper aims to sort out the development history and present situation of Laizhou straw,analyze and interpret the real problems of Laizhou straw and the factors that lead to its decline,and put forward some personal suggestions on the future development of Laizhou straw.Finally,summed up the development trend and characteristics of Laizhou straw.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is introduces the basic profile of Laizhou straw.It is a detailed description of the five aspects,mainly on the origin of straw,the concept and scope of straw,the materials of Laizhou straw,the products of Laizhou straw and the skills of Laizhou straw.The second chapter has a detailed sorting about the history of Laizhou straw,through the narrative of five elements "material","people","skills","system" and "industry chain",mainly divided into four Historical stage.The first stage is the pre-industrial period,before the Qing Dynasty;The second stage is the early industrialization,from late Qing Dynasty to 1950s;The third stage is the era of collective enterprises,from 1950 s to mid-1990s;The fourth stage is the era of theindividual enterprise,after mid-1990 s.The third chapter discusses the current situation of Laizhou straw industry from four aspects:enterprise status,product status,practitioner and consumer market.And then summed up the existing problems and constraints of Laizhou straw,mainly covering materials,practitioners,social factors,government policies and so on.Finally,according to the above analysis of the problems summarized,put forward measures and recommendations on the future development in three aspects:government policy,enterprise and product.The forth chapter summarizes the law of development of Laizhou straw.In the nature of the product,Laizhou straw has experienced a development process from the civil daily necessities to the industrial production of goods;In the industrial scale,Laizhou straw has experienced a development process from beginning to prosperity to decline;In the export product category,Laizhou straw has experienced a development process from simple to rich to single;In terms of materials,Laizhou straw has experienced a development process from natural materials to the combination utilize of natural materials and composite materials.The fifth chapter summarizes the characteristics of Laizhou straw,including the combination of practical and aesthetic,the concept of make the best possible use of material,the great social and economic benefits,the guiding forces of design innovation and the fit with the concept of green design.
