The Meaningful Production Of IP Drama And The Identity Of Fans

In recent years,the concept of "IP"(Intellectual Property)has not only become a high-frequency vocabulary of film and television circle,but also a hot topic on major film festivals and some forums.Under such a large cultural background,each film and television adapted from network novel is with the support of the original novel fans and television fans who actively take the initiative to disseminate information,and began to become extremely productive and creative after they gather the strength of the crowd.This research,taking the fans as the research object,using the ethnographic research methods which includes online participatory observation,in-depth interviews and so on,has systematically and comprehensively studied the fan production and creative behavior and its culture system under the context of "fan culture".The introduction part of this paper makes a brief explanation on the origin and significance of this study,and summarizes the academic achievements of the research on “Fan Culture” at home and abroad and the domestic academic research on "IP Drama".This study begins with the interpretation of the concept of meaningful production,and it finds out that fans will get pleasure in the production of IP drama.The focus of the thesis is to use the theory of "fan culture" to analyze the ways of how the fans create meaningful production of IP film and television drama,and discuss the production significance of the creative subject.The author has participated in the online forums,blogs and other social media to observe the behavior of fans after seeing the text.This process is the one of personal understanding of fans and their "secondary creation",such as splicing,remodeling,continued writing,etc.,and" Fan Culture” come into being at the same time.Fans create meaningful production of IP drama also in order to get personal identity and group identity.As the fans are "excessive consumers" and because they are obsessed with the text,the author put forward the concept of"emotional game" to express how the fans pay their feelings in order to get identity.The last part of the thesis is mainly a reflection and suggestion.Though the productivity and creativity of fans can provide ideas and suggestions to scriptwriter to promote the "IP Drama Hot",theexcessive consumption of fans,irrational behavior and other aspects are worthy of reflection.On this basis,this article has provided some suggestions for the future development of IP Drama.
