English globalization inevitably results in its nativization. However, the nativization of English in China has been controversial. The debates have focused on the definition of "China English" and lacked experimental studies by a large margin.Based on Sinclair's collocation theory and Wei Naixing's semantic preference and prosody theory, the author uses noun keywords in China Daily as the research subjects and makes a study of their nativized features. It is a corpus-based study. The author firstly establishes MCCD corpus and NCTE corpus with the number of 170,811 tokens and 214,383 tokens respectively, and then employs AntConc to attain the keyword list and select research required concordance lines to make analysis of their collocations and semantic meanings. The major findings are:(1)by observing the TEANs,on collocation, their adjective collocates are in great differences between two corpora—the high-frequency and unique collocations in MCCD reflect China's current reality of reform and development in the light of politics, economy, diplomacy and society. On semantic meaning, most collocates of TEANs have semantic preference, which derive from Chinese fixed conception and usage. What's more, the high-frequency collocations tend to be positive semantic prosody, which may indicate China's English news reports are preferred to spread good news.It might be the reason that China has attempted to build an active and positive national image in international stage.(2)by observing the relationship between top 500 noun keywords and thematic intentions, there are a large number of nativized names in MCCD:the special Chinese names of places, people, institutions and others. They are nativized by means of Chinese borrowings, semantic preference or shift and so on.This research is a trial supplement for the previous studies, which describes the nativized features of noun keywords in Chinese context. It also provides empirical support of nativized English in China and improves students' confidence and capability during cross-cultural communication.
