| In recent years,more and more international students have come to China to study Chinese,and the practice of teaching Chinese as a foreign language has made remarkable achievements,but at the same time,it has exposed a lot of problems.In domestic colleges and universities,The teaching of teaching Chinese as a foreign language is mainly based on language teaching,and the cultural factors are placed at the extreme end,ignoring the importance of cultural teaching.Although this situation has been improved,there has been a popularization of Chinese cultural traditions Of the special courses,but the actual use of international students in the communication,there are still a lot of cultural barriers.The purpose of this study is how these cultural barriers are generated? facing the cultural barriers in teaching,how should these teachers to explain and help students overcome them? We have found that Palmer’s cultural linguistics is a good combination of humanities and cognition,with imagery as the core concept provides a new perspective for us.The paper uses this theory to illustrate the examples of pronunciation,grammar,vocabulary,hoping to explore a better way to overcome the cultural barriers in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.Specifically,it is mainly divided into the following five parts:The first part is the introduction,which mainly explains the reasons of this topic,the research methods as well as the existing research results of Palmer’s cultural linguistics and the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.The second part is the process of introducing the theory of Palmer’s cultural linguistics.It not only traces its origins of anthropology,explores its cognitive system and its final synthesis,but also focuses on the core concept and its application of Palmer’s cultural linguistics,then made a series of analysis and interpretation of it.Finally,On the basis of above,the paper reviews several important concepts in the theory: the relationship between language,culture and image.based on this perspective,put forward the idea of overcoming the cultural barrier in Chinese international education.The third part first defines the definition of cultural barriers and classifies them according to the phenomenon of cultural barriers in the actual communication of international students.Finally from the two aspects of students themselves as well as the deficiency of teaching Chinese as a foreign language to analyze the causes of the cultural barriers.This part is mainly to find and put forward questions in order to use Palmer cultural linguistics to overcome the solution later.The fourth part chooses the representatives of English-speaking countries as the object of interpretation,and fully explains the reason of choice.Interpretation of the surrounding cultural imagery theory of linguistics,palmer from three aspects:pronunciation,grammar,vocabulary,and as the most important carrier of the culture image: the classification of vocabulary part has made the detailed explanation;Finally discusses the perspective of cultural linguistics Suggestions to overcome cultural barriers to interpret.The fifth part summarizes the content of this paper,points out that the existence of the relevant deficiencies,to be explored and discussed. |
