Frida Kahlo(1907-1954)is the most important female painter in Mexican.With the unique life experience and the characteristic painting,she have created more than 200 works that related to her life tightly,which can be called autographed painter.All of paintings express her emotions,which are include of her Family blood,tortures of diseases,effection misfortune and national emotion,which is a way for her to understand life and living.This paper is based on the theory of image proposed by Pannovsky,and analyzes the three aspects of Frida's works from the perspective of image.The first chapter interprets the theory of image and related theories,and describes the pre-image of Firda's works.The second chapter analyzes Frida's works by Pannovsky's theory of image,and explore the picture and meaning of her works.The third chapter analyzes the types of metaphors in Frida's works,explores the features of metaphor and the cause in her works.Metaphor is the main feature of Frida's works.The painting image and spatial relations in her works,which are not only narrative type of elaboration,but also have deeper meaning and build the unique artistic style of Frida.Th:rough the image description,we can see the secrets behind Frida's works.The metaphor study on Frida's painting,which can not only make us understand more deeply Frida's painting,but also can get close to Frida's deep emotion hidden in her works.It make us to know more about ourselves and creation.Also,this reminds me how to use our familiar life scenes and images to talk,and how to apply image metaphor into our art creation naturally.
