Research On The Way To Overcome Nihilism

On the general philosophical plane,Nihilism disparages or even partially denies common beliefs or common values.In the context of western philosophy,it is believed to be a philosophical proposition that posits the spiritual dilemma of modem people.Marx,in his critique of the limitations of petite bourgeoisie,categorizes Stimer's philosophy as Nihilism.Marxism,known for its relentless criticism of capitalism,has therefore become the source of ideas for our research on the way to overcome Nihilism.Its theory on the relation between the alternation of social formation and historical movements shows that people's subjectivity is restricted by and depends on reality,which is the root cause of modern people's choice of Nihilism when troubled with faith crisis.Only by resisting this dependency and realizing the free development of human beings can we truly overcome Nihilism.In his Manuscript on Economics,1857-8,Marx describes the complete process of overcoming dependency and gaining independence through the alternation of three types of social formation.This process is not only about realizing subjectivity and getting rid of individuals' dependency on religion and capital,but also about reshaping the object of dependency and constructing a rational relationship between the object and the world.This real-life non-dependent,rational and reformed relationship between the subject and the object can free the subject from the dependency relationship in the world of value and overcome the crisis of Nihilism.Different from Nietzsche's idea of reconstructing a value system as a way to overcome Nihilism,Marx's idea reveals the practical nature of Marxism.In other words,while overcoming Nihilism involves practice,it also means a reform of the world of value.As a result,the dependency theory provides a resilient approach to reform the real world and the world of value and prevent them from becoming divided.As a cultural fashion,Nihilism takes many forms.Although Marx didn't expound on the various forms of Nihilism due to limited discussion of dependency theory,it is consistent with the methodology of Marxism,and its research methods can also be used in our research.
