The Anti-Japanese War period was one of the most important periods of Feng Zikai's art education time,and also was the mature period of his ideology of art education thoughts.His idea on art education included "isolation","personification","the heart of art ","childishness","interest","protection of living beings","compassion" and other abundant themes.These topics often appeared in the research of Feng Zikai.This thesis didn't limit to the thorough analysis and explanation of these concepts,but to analyze Feng Zikai's difference education thoughts between the early period and the Anti-Japanese War period,and then explored the reasons of the persistence and the change.The building of Feng Zikai's art education ideology roughly experienced three main stages: germination period,the preliminary forming period and mature period.Overall,his art education thought in the different stages of development was consistent,only with the change of historical background and the growth of his personal experiences,his art education advocated presented some new features.Especially after the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War,Feng Zikai's thoughts on art education showed a certain extent correction and improvement.The direct aim was to make the art education thought in time of war still reflected its value.On one hand,he affirmed the propaganda function of art in the period of Anti-Japanese War.On the other hand,he warned that art couldn't be a propaganda tool.In order to successfully make the artistic creation and art education activities in the war,he adopted Buddhist culture(which were characterized by contact with society)to strengthen the moral functions of art education.However,Feng zikai fundamentally insisted on the essence of art,persisted in the personality influence of the art education.Therefore,during the Anti-Japanese War,Feng Zikai's art education thoughts showed two characteristics:one was the persistent pursuit of the essence of art education in times of war;the other was that he improved the connotation of his art education thoughts by Confucianism.On one side,Feng Zikai forged the ties between art and morality.On the other side,hedrew his idea of "protection of living beings" close to the thought of "humanity and affection".The fundamental purpose was to make the art education conform to the requirements of the times based on its essence.The characteristics of Feng Zikai's art education thoughts during the Anti-Japanese War period reflected that he struggled with the balance between the change of time and the persistence of his artistic ideas.Contacted with the art education concepts of Chen Zhifo and Xu Beihong during the Anti-Japanese War,it showed the reflection and changes experienced by art educators of that time.
