| Chaocuo is a successful litterateur in the early Western Han Dynasty,in the mean time,he has a very important place in the ancient Chinese political history.Thus,researchers have paid more attention to his moral character and merits and faults,focus on the reason why he could not have a peaceful end after his significant contribution to the development of Western Han Dynasty,rather than his remarkable achievements in literature,especially the Zouyi article.In the upper part of this paper,for making a deep research of Chaocuo’s remarkable achievements in literature,the emendation and annotation for all of his existent articles have been made.Then,a further analysis for the literary value and ideological vale of his Zouyi article has been made to give him a new and clearly position in the history of classical Chinese literature.Chaocuo has a successful official career,and he has been the imperial sensor in the period of Emperor Jing,which is one of the nine most powerful officers in the Western Han Dynasty.He has a really sharp sense of politics,observing the crisis under the Rule of Wen and Jing.On account of his loyalty to the dynasty,he constantly offers proposals to Emperor Wen and Emperor Jing.Based on the content in Han Shu,there had been 31 pieces of articles written by Chaocuo,however,most of them had been lost and only nine of them are still reserved in Han Shu.Chaocuo’s Zouyi articles describe details of politics,economy,military and people’s livelihood in Western Han Dynasty,in the mean time,it has a high value in literary and aesthetic.In a word,with careful analyzing his Zouyi articles,an different image of Chaocuo would be builded. |
