Research On Writing Motivation From Behaviourism

Writing motivation is the beginning of the writing activities.Writing motivation is the psychological tendency of writing subject,resulting in the process of writing subject's complex psychological activities.In recent years,scholars have used the theory form schools of psychology to study the motivation of writing,and have revealed the internal running mechanism of writing motivation from various angles.However,the research results of writing motivation in writing research are relatively few,so the theory of behaviorism researching writing motivation have a certain value.Behaviorism originated in the United States in the early 20th century,represented by Watson,Skinner and Bandura.Behavioral psychology is a insurgence to traditional psychology,and behavioral psychologists abandon the "introspection" of the study of the minds,and advocate the use of the stimulus-response(symbol:S-R)experimenting objective psychological research.It is not the only way to practice the research method in the psychology study,behavioral psychologists use other theoretical method which make behaviourism prevail in the 1920s.After the general description of behaviourism and writing motivation,this article will take the writing motivation as the research object,using the principles,knowledge and methods of behaviorism,and combining with specific examples of the writing motivation to discuss the writing motivation.This article focuses on analyzing the factors and conditions of writing subject's motivation,revealing the running mechanism of writing motivation,exploring the law of writing motivation,and cultivating the subject's motivation.The study is divided into three parts.First of all,the first part makes a simple definition about behaviourism and writing motivation,and further more,explains the significance of behaviourism approaching to writing motivation.The second part analyzes the conditions of writing motivation from the theory of behaviourism,analyzing the physiological basis,the environment stimulus and the internal regulation of the motivation,explaining the running mechanism of writing motive according to the behaviorist theory model,which will reveal the running mode of writing motivation.The third part mainly uses the behavioral views of behaviourism to explore the ways of cultivating the motivation of writing from habits,reinforcement and observation.On the basis of previous studies and text reading,the purpose of this article is to analyze and discuss writing motivation by using the principle of behaviourism and the theory of literary creation.I hope I can make a little contribution to the study of writing motivation.
