A Study On Modigliani’s Painting Formal Language

The formal language of painting is a painter’s business card.Through the study of the form of painting language,we can understand the artist’s life experience,but also helps us understand the meaning of the artist painting,so I’m painting in the form of language has a great interest in the Modigliani painting form language studied.Born in Italy in 1884 in Tuscany province Harbour City Livorno Dior.Modigliani is like a meteor across the black sky,thirty-six year old will be fleeting.However,in his short life,he created many precious works of art.His art has reached a high level,known as the second wizards after Greco.This paper focuses on the color features of Modigliani’s painting,such as color,line,shape,layout,and the important factors that affect the formation of the formal language.Discusses from Modigliani emotion,Italy classical art,African sculpture,western modern art schools of the four important aspects of their impact to the formation of Modigliani’s painting form language,finally obtains the important enlightenment of Modigliani art brings for contemporary art creation.
