Jiahu flute,as the originator of Chinese flute musical instruments,its excavation has symbolized that the Chinese music history has more than 8000 years.Meanwhile it informed to the public that the development of Chinese flute rmusical instruments has been experiencing more than 8000 years and it is a national instrument musical group with great vitality.The flute player Feng Zicun is the first performer that bring flute to stage as a solo instrument in the 1950s.This has the milestone significance in the art of flute.With the development of new China’s culture and art industry,numerous flute players have sprung up in the practice of music art,and it gradually formed the northern flute group which represented by Feng Zicun,Liu Guanyue and Wang Tiechui and southern flute group which represented by Lu Chunling,Zhao Songting and Yu Xunfa.The Chinese northern and southern flute group are the music performing groups that focus on performers.This paper started from the perspective of musical aesthetics,studied the aesthetics characteristics and their differences with other music categories of Chinese northern and southern flute group by the methods like experience method,speculation method,musical morphology method and comparative study method.The Chinese classical aesthetics divides the aesthetics into two categories of masculinity aesthetics and femininity aesthetics.They are also the two basic categories in artistic intention,typicalness and styles.According to this,we consider the general aesthetic characteristics of Chinese northern flute group inclines to masculinity aesthetics,while the basic aesthetic characteristics of Chinese southern flute group inclines to femininity aesthetics.According to the complementation,interconnection between hardness and softness,activity and calm,we believe that the intermediate states that mainly are relying on Yang but also leaning on Ying or relying on Ying but also leaning on Yang exists between Ying and Yang and the aesthetic form that blending the two opposing principles in nature also exists.Covered by two categories of masculinity and femininity,southern flute group possesses the beauty of artistic conception,rhythm and timbre,also the beauty of femininity that inclines on lingering charm in vivid artistic conception music performance.The northern flute group inclines to masculinity aesthetics that presents the vitality and colorful presentation of aesthetics in the groups when in vivid artistic conception music performance.Through the comparative study of two representative songs of Chinese northern and southern flute group-Flying Partridge and Joyful Reunion,this paper further support and strengthen the research conclusion of aesthetic characteristics in the art of flute performance of northern and southern flute group.
