Generally speaking,Lao Tzu was the first philosopher in the histor y of C hinese philosophy. He was the representative of Taoism which is an important part of traditional Chinese culture.Tao is the core concept of Lao Tzu's philosophy, which is a unique philosophical system based on the idea of Tao.However, since Lao Tzu clearly pointed out that " the Tao that can be described is not the enduring and unchanging Tao ",and that the name of the Tao is forced to do,all of those point out that the Tao can not be described. It is puzzling that Lao Tzu though the Tao can not be described but he used more than five thousand words to describe it.That is to say Lao Tzu did not absolutely reject the language.Through the analysis of the background of Lao Tzu 's philosophical thought,we can know that the proposition of Lao Tzu's " the Tao that can be described is not the enduring and unchanging Tao " contains profound criticism of language.Based on this criticism,Lao Tzu changed the way of daily speech and created a Constructed-deconstructed way of speaking which can be used to describe the Tao.The Constructed-deconstructed way of speaking provides us a realm of clarity where things expand their own freely. The realm of clarity is the same as one's spiritual realm who devotes himself to the Tao from day to day to diminish.Through the analysis,we can see that the realm of clarity is actually Lao Tzu's so-called " XuanDe "."XuanDe" is Taos mysterious operation.XuanDe maintains the truth about the relationship between the Tao and things. So the " XuanDe " reminds us that the Tao is the ontology of all things. What is more,we will find the Tao is also the ontology of the "natural" value.
