This is a translation report.The source text of this project is The MOOCS in Higher Education: DIY Degrees and Diplomas written by Nazimudeen Saleem.From the aspects of origin,development and change in the future,the article objectively analyzes that how the MOOCS puts affects the higher education.At present,the rapid development of net work and communication technology,making the human face a new and ever-changing society—the network society.Network technology has infected every aspect of our life.As an important part of society,education has been affected as well.With the development of the network technology,education has broken through the traditional model and achieved the transformation of itself.This thesis is based on the translator's translation and combining the typical examples.Under the direction of Skopos theory with its' three basic rules: skopos rule,the coherence rule and the fidelity rule,the translator discusses the translation criterion and techniques of informative text.During the period of the translation,the translator has encountered many problems,such as proper nouns,terminology and long sentences and cultural background differences.The translator solved these problems under the direction of Skopos theory with corresponding solutions,such as division,literal translation and conversion of voice;what's more,under the help of the internet,the translator have searched the proper nouns by online searching to ensure the expertise of the translation.The translator hopes that the report could provide some references to this kind of book translation.
