Study Of Digital Technology Influence On Painting Creation

The progress of technology and medium,esp.the invention of new technologies and changes in media,has promoted art’s development and evolution,bringing forth fresh artistic concepts and forms.Born in 1960 s,new media art in western countries symbolizes the combination of modern technology and art.The digital technology is applied to traditional painting creation,which makes painting art transformed profoundly.As a result of this,digital painting arts are initiated,which differ from the traditional painting.As a new comprehensive art with the combination of traditional painting art with computers,digital painting has helped the traditional art grow and move forward.The development and evolution of digital technology has imposed great impact on new media art’s integral shape and content.Based on the clues from the development and evolution of digital technology,the present paper aims to study the influence on traditional painting creation with the application of digital technology.Apparently,digital technology,as the creation method of new media art,has penetrated into many aspects of traditional painting such as art market,art broadcast,art creation,etc..Our effort will be put mainly on the influence of digital technology on art creation in this paper.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part elaborates connections and distinctions among digital technology,digital painting and traditional painting as well as their generation and current development.The second part discusses how digital technology affects traditional painting creation including the influence on artist’s subjective creation and aesthetic thinking,artist’s subjective creation process,artist’s subjective creation medium,artist’s subjective creation expression methods and paintings.The third part studies and analyzes the value appraise of the influence of digital technology application on traditional painting creation as well as its positive and negative influences.The fourth part,in terms of digital painting’s problems in the practice,puts forward development countermeasures such as the enhancement of market management,innovation and development of digital technology,cultivation of digital painting talents,increase of government supportive policies and funds,improvement of theoretical researches,etc.,so as to provide favorable environment and conditions for the development of digital painting art in China.
