During the practice period of being as a Chinese volunteer teacher in Tanzania,based on previous studies and the Chinese characters corpus collection statistics,the author focuses on learning disabilities of Tanzanian students' Chinese character through the questionnaire surveys at Confucius Institute of Dodoma University and Muslim University in Morogoro,and finally this paper puts forward some effective solutions for how to overcome disabilities of learning Chinese characters.This paper is divided into six chapters: The first chapter is a brief introduction that introduces the reason of topic-selection,significance,document analysis,research materials and methods,introduces the Chinese characters' curriculum provision,textbooks application and teachers' actualities;the second chapter analyzes students' learning situation of Chinese characters with the two questionnaires;the third chapter,based on the analysis of materials collected,depicts Tanzanian students' writing errors of Chinese characters following the four aspects: the strokes,components,structures and others;the fourth chapter analyzes the problems of writing errors of Chinese characters which are presented in the previous chapters,and they are stated detailedly through three aspects,such as character itself,learners' own factors,teachers with teaching materials and curriculums;based on the analysis of factors in the fourth chapter,the fifth chapter proposed a number of possible solutions in how to learning Chinese characters for Tanzanian students;the sixth chapter draws a conclusion that is about discussing the refined and deepened significance of this paper.The materials collected of this article come from the real life of teaching in school,and materials for the inadequacies of questionnaires conducted a follow-up visit and the interview,for striving to show up real research materials.Meanwhile,this paper fills gaps on national research of teaching Chinese characters in the area of Tanzania,hoping to leave it to be a useful reference for latecomers.
