Study On 'V Zhe' And 'V Le' Which Represent Static Existence

Syntactic conditions exhibit different tense meanings.The particle‘zhe'is a typical tense mark of‘durative'or‘progressive'.The particle‘le'is a typical tense mark of‘terminative'.Since the particle‘zhe'and‘le'express different tense meanings.So theoretically both should express different sentences in the sentence,but in some sentences the difference between the two seems to have disappeared.For example:‘???????.'and‘???????'are basically the same,The meanings of the particles‘zhe'and‘le'in the sentences are continuous state.This paper attempts to study this phenomenon from the following aspects:1)From the synchronic point of view,the study found out the similarities of grammatical meaning of ‘zhe' and ‘le'.Both ‘zhe' and ‘le' can occur after the state verbs,to indicate ‘ the state starting and sustained';2)From the period point of view,the study probed the historical usage of ‘zhe' and ‘le' to find out the historical basis of the exchange of ‘V zhe' and ‘V le';3)The study analyzed which verbs can be used in the static existence sentences of ‘V zhe' and ‘V le' based on ‘Chinese verbs Dictionary',and summed up the semantic features of these verbs;4)The study explained the rationality of the exchange of ‘V zhe' and ‘V le' based on structure and image schema theory.5)The study contrasted the static ‘V zhe' existence sentence and static ‘V le' existential sentence to find out the difference in the use,and analyzed the condition that the particle ‘zhe' can exchange with the particle ‘le' in the static existential construction.The study also contrasted the dynamic ‘V zhe' existence sentence and the dynamic ‘V le' existential sentence,in order to better understand the static existence sentences of ‘V zhe' and ‘V le';6)There is a phenomenon that one form stands for both'zhe' and ‘le',in some dialects.The study analyzed this phenomenon of some representative dialects to prove the rationality of the exchange of ‘V zhe' and ‘V le',based on typological theory.
