Mou Tsung-san thought that Kant has just completed the transcendental and the immanent metaphysics.Considered that Kant has never acknowledged that mankind can acquire the ability of intelligible intuition,as a result, the transcendent metaphysics was not completed. However when it comes to the tradition of ancient Chinese philosophy, the intelligible intuition is a self-presentation rather than a postulate. Therefore what has not accomplished has completed now.And then,he put up of his theory of phenomenon and noumena. The theory of phenomenon is nearly the same as Kant’s philosophy while the theory of the noumena is his own theoretical construction.the fundamental ontology could be totally set up only if it was based on the theory of the noumena. There are three connotations in the fundamental ontology—body, function and realm.Firstly, manifest a moral reality according to the moral conscious and then, elicit the intellectual intuition via the moral reality.Secondly,body-prove this moral reality through the cultivation of mind.Thirdly,to become sages because of the cultivation you do.The frame of my thesis is based on these three aspects:Real Body:In this chapter,we first demonstrate that the unity of the Four Books in order to present the unity of the human nature and the providence,so as to interpret the moral metaphysics of the Confucianism. Then interpret the moral reality according to the unity of the "Yi-Tao","Earnest Intention","Moral Mind" and "Benevolence".When it comes to the concrete representation of the Yi body,we can use "Alternating between Yin and Yang is called Tao,to describe it.It is the principle of creativeness which arouses this process. It is the formal meaning of Yi Tao.Real Function:The formal meaning of the Yi Tao is abstract. If it is to realize concretely,it is necessary for the subjective meaning to turn to the objective meaning. The phrase that "Qianzhi" is conscience" can be used to demonstrate this. The unity is based on the absolute meaning of Qianzhi.Since they can be related on the absolute meaning, they will finally be connected on the subjective meaning. The moral reality is both a transcendental and immanent being. The real meaning of the reality is the unity of body and function. This reality decided the human nature. However the existing forms of mankind often overshadow the reality. Therefore the cultivation of mind is needed.Intellectual intuition manifest itself through the process of cultivation and things in itself correspond.Real Realm:Tao is not postulate. It relays on mankind to manifest it.Through the cultivation of mind,we can body-prove this reality immediately and acknowledged it as the nature of us.It is the sages who can totally manifest the moral reality. In mou’s point of view, the philosophical construction ends in the area of the highest good. The highest good is a concept used by Kant.Kant regards the existence of godand the freedom of will as a postulate.the same is true to immortal soul.As a result he has not accomplished the highest good. However what Kant failed was fulfilled by the Confucianism. In the the Appendices, this highest good manifested itself as the coherence of the sage’s virtue and cause.
