| Orthodoxy,an important political and historical concept in Chinese history,is a theory of regime’s legitimacy.Orthodoxy emerges in Spring and Autumn period and develops during the West and East Han Dynasty. In hundred years of the end of the East Han Dynasty, different governments transfer, and each of them takes a realistic consideration to understand Orthodoxy.During this period, orthodoxy has more contents than before and has a significant influence on later ages.Orthodoxy in Wei-jin period lies mainly in thinking how to mould orthodoxy in international environments and what its standards and principles.Depending on historical background of Chen Shou and Xi Zaochi and the principle of making comments after knowing a person, the thesis analyzes the writing background of Records of the Three Kingdoms and Han Jin Chun Qiu and reveals further orthodoxy of two books.Written by Chen Shou in the West Jin dynasty,Records of the Three Kingdoms acknowledges legitimacy of Wei,however,Han Jin Chun Qiu acknowledges legitimacy of Shu.Orthodoxy that Jin dynasty succeeds Han dynasty instead of Wei in Han Jin Chun Qiu not only strikes historical idea that Wei succeeds Han and Jin succeeds Wei of Chen Shou in Records of the Three Kingdoms, but also has a huge impact later dynasties.Later scholars such as Liu Zhiji,Sima Guang,Zhu Xi,Zhang Xuecheng,Ji Yun and etc.Have different opinions about whether Shu or Wei has the political legitimacy. So we can see that Wei-Jin period is a critical period for the development of Chinese ancient orthodoxy concept.Based on what’s mentioned above, this thesis tries to find out the reason of controversial orthodoxy between Shu and Wei to make a research on what’s the reflection of two writer’s orthodoxy on selecting historical facts. The thesis is composed of four parts. The first chapter, presenting background and writing aim of Records of the Three Kingdoms and Han Jin Chun Qiu,discusses reason why two orthodoxy is different.Taking the writing way of two books as access point, the second chapter studies orthodoxy of authors in the name of the history books, historical facts, annals and biography. The third chapter analyzes the similarity and difference of orthodoxy between Chen and Xi. |
