The relationship of semantic value,modality and epistemology is essential to linguistics,after Kripke destroys the traditional opinion of it by his necessary aposteriori statement and contingent apriori statement,many related issues need to be reconsidered and new questions turn up.This thesis concentrates on the former kind statement of Kripke,and tries to figure out the details of it from different understandings of theorists,then looks over how it can be formed and where we can find it in our nature language.Three main deliberations are going to be given from Kripke,Davies&Humberstone to Robert Stalnaker,and the oppositions against them held by Soames also will be given.Several points will show up all along the article,including the relation of necessity and aposteriority,how to understand either of them,relation of metaphysical worlds and epistemic worlds,how to treat proper names and natural kind terms in this kind statement,the coherence of different views,the expressive entity which necessity and aposteriority can both operate on,how to reformulate Kripke's idea and the application of it,the cognitive content and proposition of this kind statement and so on.To draw a conclusion,there are rare instances of such statement in our language,when we construct and use it we should watch out the limits,there are still some puzzles which can not be comprehended properly and with great disputes.The truth of the statement can be separated as one relative to worlds and another in worlds,the aposteriori can be differentiated from knowledge to evidence,the necessity may appear to be two kinds,there are very complex relationships between modal operator and epistemic operator in two-dimensional semantics of Davies&Humberstone,and the explanation of the statement relates to assertion in discourse for Robert Stalnaker,Soames criticizes them hardly and rigorously,some are reasonable,and some are not.
