Li Zongshu, also named Zi Xi or Shidie together. His hometown was in Fuping county, Shaanxi province. His poems and articles - "Shidie Collection",four volumes, which inscribed by Xiting Academy in Ming Dynasty Jia Jing twenty-nine years(1550), have been circulated up to now.Li Zongshu was good at poems and articles. And his poems imitated the early Tang Dynasty, meanwhile, his articles emulated the Qin and Han Dynasty. As a member of the Guan Long literati group in Ming Dynasty intermediate stage, his creation tendency was influenced by Li Mengyang and Kang Hai obviously, who advocated literary renaissance. He was an upright and outspoken person who was not afraid of government dignitaries and magnates. About the protection of frontier region, he wrote many memorials to the throne, and built many fortresses, so he won a high reputation.In this paper, the first chapter is about the life of Li Zongshu and his family lineage. With the existing poems and essays of Li Zongshu and some other relevant historical materials, draw the outline of Li Zongshu and his family; in addition, I will make necessary textual criticism to some problematical issues.The second chapter of this paper is about the existing edition of Shidie Collection and pertinent literature. By comparing Shidie Collection which inscribed in 1550 and Pinyang Collection which compiled by Liu Dui in Wan Li period of Ming Dynasty, we can clarify the evolution in various editions, so as to make the circulating process of his poems and articles more clear.The third chapter of the article is to analysis all those people who had communications with Li Zongshu in his lifetime. By investigating his social relations, we can see a plump figure of Li Zongshu which are essential to the studies of him.
